Bournehall

Bournehall is a single occupancy two bedroom flat providing a bespoke supported living package to a young man in his late thirties. 

Bournehall's service user has been on a supported care path with Protea for several years, taking various steps on his pathway to independence, from living in a shared house with several others, to sharing with one other person and now living alone with staff support most days of the week.

Throughout his care programme, this service user has been encouraged to develop in both his living skills and confidence in order to enjoy the most independent supported living he possibly can. From daily tasks such as cooking and cleaning to budgeting and managing finances, we have been able to help this service user on his journey. We were even able to assist him in finding a part time job, to ensure he could further involve himself in the community and live a life that’s fulfilling in many different ways.

Our bespoke supported living services

All of our service users are placed front and centre of their own supported living care, and Bournehall is just one of many examples of the success that this ethos has. 

We are able to welcome tenants of both sexes who possess a wide range of complex needs and challenging behaviours. Our highly skilled staff are trained to look after a variety of clients, and regularly receive ongoing training and reinforcement.

Whilst in our care, we endeavour to help all service users to enjoy the most independent supported living that they can, assisting and guiding tasks including:

• Cooking and other household chores.
• Budgeting and financial management.
• Community participation, including employment where suitable.
• Support with education, including college, vocational and non-vocational courses.
