One-to-One Care, 24/7
A personal approach
Walton Road
At Walton Road our focus is to provide a thoroughly personal care service, so we only ever care for one individual at any one time.
We work on a one-to-one basis at all times to provide one-to-one support 24/7 so our service user will always have personal care assistance. Although we are only a small team of 4-5 different staff members, working in this way with one individual allows us to build very close relationships with our service user, get to know their likes and dislikes, and understand the habits and routines they like to maintain.
Walton Road is a quiet cul-de-sac within walking distance of Watford town centre and with a nature reserve only minutes away.
This personal care service is based in a two-bedroom flat, with one room dedicated to a staff office and the rest of the accommodation for the sole use of the service user. This includes a separate bathroom with bath and shower facilities, a bedroom and a large kitchen/lounge. All rooms feature fitted wardrobes and/or cupboards, and the kitchen is finished in a stylish black topped counter with fitted fridge/freezer and an electric oven and hob.
A person-centred care plan to provide as much independence as possible
Despite being a small personal care service, we strive to maintain the highest levels of care. To achieve this, we focus on a person-centred care plan and one-to-one, 24/7 support for our service user. Our primary goal is to keep our service user as safe as possible whilst still maintaining the highest levels of independence that are possible for their personal capabilities.
Every day we support our service user to actively make choices about their day-to-day life, be that planning a week’s activities, attending appointments, helping with paperwork (like benefits and council tax), or helping with tasks like making a shopping list, cooking dinner or getting a haircut.
We want to allow our service user to live an independent life in the community and maintain a healthy lifestyle with high levels of well-being. Due to our excellent location, we have a wide choice of possible activities within walking distance and great transport links to the rest of the county and inwards to London, so nothing is beyond reach!
We achieve an excellent and personal care service by working together as a tightly knit team with excellent communication, both between ourselves and with our service user, providing careful planning and a personal approach to any situation.
